Basketball Recap: Northeast Takes a Loss

Northeast was the 19-17 winner over Osceola when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Northeast Vikings took a 51-36 bruising from the Osceola Warriors on Thursday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Osceola to victory were Brianna Davidson and Adrian Jenezon. Davidson dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards, while Jenezon dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. With that strong performance, Jenezon is now averaging an impressive 8.4 boards per game. Another player making a difference was Ilese Smolka, who posted eight points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Northeast now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Osceola, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Northeast wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 69-38 loss against Largo on the 13th. As for Osceola, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-40 defeat against Indian Rocks Christian on the 13th.
