Football Game Preview: Carrollton Trojans vs. Chapel Hill Panthers + How To Watch

The Carrollton Trojans will challenge the Chapel Hill Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Carrollton has seven straight victories, Chapel Hill has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Carrollton took their contest with ease, bagging a 48-9 win over Westlake. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won six games by 22 points or more so far this season.

Carrollton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cameron Wood led the charge by rushing for 120 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries, while also picking up 72 receiving yards. Wood is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another passer making a difference was CJ Cypher, who threw for 218 yards and three touchdowns while completing 84.2% of his passes.

Carrollton's run defense was locked in: Westlake could only muster 3.1 yards per carry. That's the most yards per carry they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, Chapel Hill fell victim to Centennial and their airtight defense last Friday. They took a 13-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights.

Chapel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Carrollton, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.

Everything came up roses for Carrollton against Chapel Hill in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-0 win. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
