Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Taravella). Everything went their way against the Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes on Monday as they made off with a 13-2 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

John Almeida looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

At the plate, JC Martinez was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Anthony Toizol was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.

Taravella was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pompano Beach only posted a batting average of .333.

Taravella's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Pompano Beach, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Taravella will be playing in front of their home fans against South Broward at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pompano Beach, they will head out on the road to square off against Everglades at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
