Basketball Recap: Cambria Heights Falls Despite Big Games from Nolan Clawson and Ian Nagel

Cambria Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Northern Cambria Colts, falling 63-39. While losing is never fun, the Highlanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 532nd, while the Colts are ranked 206th).

Cambria Heights' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ian Nagel, who posted seven points, and Nolan Clawson, who put up nine points. What's more, Nagel also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024.

Cambria Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Northern Cambria, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Cambria Heights didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-39 loss against Portage on the 30th. Northern Cambria has also already played their next contest, a 66-61 defeat against Conemaugh Valley on the 30th.
