Softball Recap: Pima Comes Up Short

Pima lost to Bisbee back in April of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Roughriders fell just short of the Pumas by a score of 6-5. The game marked the Roughriders' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Pima saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bivianna Vega, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Pima's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Bisbee, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pima will welcome Fort Thomas at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bisbee, they will face off against Willcox at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cowboys will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Pumas surely won't give up without a fight.
