Basketball Recap: San Miguel Comes Up Short

San Miguel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 37th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Bisbee Pumas, falling 70-10. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vipers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 81-25 back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bisbee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alyssa Lopez, who posted 18 points and five steals. Isabella Solis was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

San Miguel's loss dropped their record down to 0-23. As for Bisbee, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-10.

San Miguel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bisbee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 44-38 win against Morenci on the 6th.
