Basketball Recap: Carmel Extends Home Winning Streak to Ten

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Carmel walked away with it. They walked away with a 58-49 victory over the Central Grizzlies on Tuesday.

Carmel's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Warren Blut, who went 8-for-12 to rack up 21 points and five rebounds. The match was Blut's third in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Simeon Brown, who shot 46% from the field on his way to 16 points.

Carmel pushed their record up to 20-7 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points over those games. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-14.

Carmel has already played their next game, a 67-55 loss against Christian Brothers on the 6th. Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
