Football Game Preview: Saginaw Rough Riders vs. Aledo Bearcats + How To Watch

Saginaw hasn't had much luck against Aledo recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Rough Riders are taking a road trip to square off against the Bearcats at 7:00 p.m.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Saginaw and Chisholm Trail, and Chisholm Trail kept the tradition alive. The Rough Riders fell 27-17 to the Rangers on Friday.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed nine in total. All came from Montae White: he went 3-for-3 kicking field goals for nine points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Aledo). They really took it to Denton for the full four quarters, racking up a 77-0 win. The Bearcats' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Saginaw better keep an eye on Kaydon Finley. He was instrumental in Aledo's win, picking up 157 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Finley showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 52 yards. Aledo also got help from Jamal Hollister, who showed off his sure hands for 96 receiving yards.

Saginaw's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Aledo, their win bumped their record up to 10-0.

Saginaw was dealt a bruising 70-0 defeat at the hands of Aledo when the teams last played back in September of 2023. Can the Rough Riders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
