Volleyball Recap: Marion Takes Down Ranked Valley View

Marion faced Valley View in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Patriots came out on top against the Blazers by a score of 3-1. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Blazers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

The victory didn't come easy: Valley View scored at least 21 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22, 17-25, 25-21.

The win made it two in a row for Marion and bumps their season record up to 11-2. As for Valley View, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-3.
