Baseball Recap: Atholton Takes a Loss

Atholton came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Howard Lions by a score of 5-3 on Monday. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Atholton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Weinig, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Atholton's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Atholton is taking a road trip to take on Oakland Mills at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Howard, they will welcome Marriotts Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
