Basketball Recap: Coal Ridge Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

Coal Ridge lost to Glenwood Springs back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Coal Ridge Titans came out on top against the Glenwood Springs Demons by a score of 62-55. The win was familiar territory for the Titans who have now won three contests in a row.

Coal Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Christopher Harvey, who went 6 of 9 en route to 16 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Harvey a new career-high in steals. Diego Gamez was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

Coal Ridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in four consecutive matches.

Coal Ridge's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-4. As for Glenwood Springs, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-8 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coal Ridge has already played their next game (against Rifle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Glenwood Springs has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Palisade.
