Football Recap: Homer-Center Wins Going Away Against Penns Manor + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Homer-Center, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They were the clear victors by a 38-14 margin over the Penns Manor Comets on Friday. That looming 38-14 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wildcats yet this season.

Homer-Center's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carson Arone, who rushed for 84 yards and one score, and also threw for 166 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Arone a new career-high in passer rating (156.3). Gabe Cobaugh was in the mix too, providing Homer-Center with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Homer-Center was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 218 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Despite the defeat, Penns Manor had strong showings from Justin Vojtek, who rushed for 143 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries, and Brady Lewis, who rushed for 81 yards. Vojtek's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 130 rushing yards.

Homer-Center's record now sits at 3-1. As for Penns Manor, their record is now 2-2.
