Football Recap: Wellington Wolverines vs. Centennial Eagles
If Wellington was feeling good off their 42-0 takedown of Suncoast last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wellington Wolverines took a hard 26-12 fall against the Centennial Eagles on Thursday. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2022.
Although Wellington took the loss, they still got scores from Jonathan Paul and Jose Bras.
Wellington wouldn't let Centennial keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force five fumbles. Micheauxn Jackson led the group effort, picking up two of those forced fumbles all by himself.
Wellington's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Wellington has the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome Lake Worth at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Centennial, they will face off against Davenport at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
