It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Eupora had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Hatley Tigers. Seven seems to be a good number for the Eagles as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Eupora secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Tucker Stroup, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Eupora is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.1 runs over those games. As for Hatley, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-16.

Eupora will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
