Softball Recap: Archbishop Chapelle Comes Up Short

Archbishop Chapelle blew Northshore out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Northshore got their revenge. The Chipmunks fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Chipmunks have suffered since May 2, 2025.

This is the second loss in a row for Archbishop Chapelle and nudges their season record down to 14-4. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Northshore, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-10.

Coincidentally, Archbishop Chapelle and Northshore will both be playing Academy of Our Lady the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Penguins at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Chipmunks will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
