Long Reach extends road winning streak to 15

Recap: Long Reach Lightning vs. Wilde Lake Wildecats

The Long Reach Lightning came tearing into Monday's match with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Wilde Lake by a score of 73-62. Given Long Reach's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while Wilde Lake is ranked 137th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Long Reach to victory were Rj Barnes and Jayden Saunders. Barnes scored 24 points, while Saunders scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Junior Nunez, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.

Long Reach pushed their record up to 17-1 with that victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Wilde Lake, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Long Reach didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-45 victory vs. Centennial on the 7th. Wilde Lake has also already played their next match, a 70-61 loss against River Hill on the 7th.
