Basketball Recap: Summerville Comes Up Short

Summerville lost against Linden back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Summerville Bears took a 57-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Linden Lions.

Will Hubbart continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Linden, putting up 23 points. Another player making a difference was Braden Busalacchi, who posted 12 points.

Summerville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points per game. As for Linden, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summerville has already played their next game (against Big Valley Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Linden will square off against Calaveras at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
