Volleyball Recap: Hiawatha Collegiate Falls to Minneapolis Southside in First Game of Season

Hiawatha Collegiate unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Minneapolis Southside Southsiders on Thursday, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-14, 25-21.

Minneapolis Southside has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Hiawatha Collegiate does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Minneapolis Southside, they will challenge Washburn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Southsiders are facing the Millers at the right time seeing as the Millers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
