It was a good run, but Pacifica unfortunately witnessed the end of their 16-game winning streak dating back to last season on Saturday. They fell 6-1 to the St. Joseph Knights. The game marked the Mariners' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Pacifica got a good showing from Mackenzie Bledl, who tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, Pacifica saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Amezquita, who went 2-for-3 with one triple. That triple was Amezquita's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pacifica fell to 4-1.

Pacifica will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Aliso Niguel at 5:00 p.m. on March 11th. St. Joseph has already played their next matchup (against Notre Dame (SO)), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
