Bunnell took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Immaculate, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Mustangs 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since April 15, 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Bunnell and bumps their season record up to 7-2. As for Immaculate, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
