Baseball Recap: Trinity Christian Beats NOVA Homeschool for Their Sixth Straight Win

NOVA HomeSchool typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Trinity Christian proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Lions 8-7. The win was nothing new for the Gryphons as they're now sitting on six straight.

Isaac Norman made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played.

In other batting news, Brody Frank was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Grady Frank was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Trinity Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in six consecutive matches.

Trinity Christian pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for NOVA HomeSchool, they moved to 12-4 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Trinity Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for NOVA HomeSchool, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Front Royal HomeSchool at 5:45 p.m. The Flames will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
