Yuma barely beat Burlington the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Outlaws were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cougars on Thursday. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Outlaws yet this season.

Yuma not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Burlington between 15 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17, 25-15.

Yuma's offense was headlined by Lindsey Hermosillo and Berkley Nighswonger, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Bailey Nighswonger and her 15 assists. Berkley also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Taryn Sheffield, each putting up three.

Yuma's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Burlington, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.

Coming up, Yuma will host Haxtun at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burlington, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Simla on the 4th.
