Carey gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Murtaugh Red Devils by a score of 16-6. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their 11th in a row dating back to last season.

Stockton Sears was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 90 yards, and also caught one TD. Those 90 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Coming up, Carey will head out on the road to square off against Butte County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Murtaugh, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grace at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
