 Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South pushed their score all the way to 62 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell  70-62 to New Hope Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game  last Thursday (61), Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South still had to take the loss.
 Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South's  loss shouldn't obscure the performances of  Auston Jackson, who  scored 19 points along with six  rebounds and two  steals, and  Justus Hardy who  scored 20 points along with two  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Jackson has scored all season.
 New Hope Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Jalen Martinez led the charge by  almost  dropping  a double-double on 24 points and nine  rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which  Martinez has scored at least a third of New Hope Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Uriah Augare-Deal, who  scored 19 points along with seven  rebounds.
 Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South has  not been sharp recently as the team has  lost eight of their last nine matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record  this season. As for New Hope Academy, their win  ended a four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 16-20.
 Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South will  square off against Bowie at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. The timing is sure in Bowie's favor as the  team sits on seven straight wins at home while Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. As for New Hope Academy, they will  challenge Rock Creek Christian Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Averaging 69.19  points so far this season, New Hope Academy's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Rock Creek Christian Academy better be ready for a challenge.
