Baseball Recap: Valley Christian Extends Home Winning Streak to 24

While Valley Christian put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Verrado. Valley Christian blew past Verrado 10-0. Considering the Trojans have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ty Pasisich looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Carson Grier was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Derek Arold was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Valley Christian's win was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for Verrado, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4-1.

Looking ahead, Valley Christian will venture away from home to square off against Seton Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Verrado, they will welcome Tolleson at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
