While Northampton's win against Amherst-Pelham Regional wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blue Devils narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Hurricanes 11-9. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Blue Devils considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Johnny Nields-Duffy was incredible, going 3-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maceo Nteta, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Northampton picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-4-1. As for Amherst-Pelham Regional, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northampton will face off against Hopkins Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Amherst-Pelham Regional, they will challenge Monson at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
