Basketball Game Preview: East Union Lancers vs. Mountain House Mustangs

The East Union Lancers will venture away from home to take on the Mountain House Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Last Wednesday, East Union came up short against Central Catholic and fell 60-49.

Meanwhile, Mountain House waltzed into their match on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Raiders as they made off with a 74-48 win. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.

Mountain House's win came from a few key players East Union will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Coldin Parker, who posted 21 points and eight rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Williams, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards.

Mountain House's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.9 points over those games. As for East Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.

East Union was taken down by Mountain House 85-36 when the teams last played back in January. Can East Union avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
