For Goodland's part, they got a massive performance out of Phoebe Nachtigall, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. Hannah Coumerilh was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
Russell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Goodland, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-6.

As for Goodland, they will head out on the road to take on Thomas More Prep-Marian at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Thomas More Prep-Marian's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Goodland's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
