Soccer Game Preview: Bauxite vs. Malvern

Bauxite is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will head out on the road to face off against the Malvern Leopards at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Bauxite is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Morrilton on Tuesday. The Miners came up short against the Devil Dogs, falling 7-3. The loss continues a trend for Bauxite in their meetings with Morrilton: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Malvern came up short against Cossatot River on Tuesday and fell 5-3.

Malvern's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-1. As for Bauxite, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2-1.

Bauxite skirted past Malvern 3-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Miners since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
