Softball Recap: Ingram Moore Extends Winning Streak to Six

Ingram Moore waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Llano Yellowjackets as they made off with a 20-2 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-7 last Monday.

Kylie Traub made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Priscilla Cancino, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three doubles, and four RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Raylie Neutze, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Ingram Moore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .558. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Llano only posted an OBP of .261.

Ingram Moore pushed their record up to 12-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Llano, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-16.

Coming up, Ingram Moore will head out to challenge Florence at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Buffaloes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.4 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Llano, they will be playing at home against Brady at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Yellowjackets are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
