Volleyball Game Preview: Hinsdale Central Red Devils vs. Wheaton North Falcons + How To Watch

Hinsdale Central has gone a perfect 6-0 against Wheaton North recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Red Devils will host the Falcons at 6:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Hinsdale Central didn't have quite enough to beat Downers Grove North and fell 2-1. The Red Devils haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Hinsdale Central sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-22, 20-25, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Wheaton North hadn't done well against Geneva recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Falcons had just enough and edged out the Vikings 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted against the Vikings since October 12, 2021.

Wheaton North had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-16, 25-13.

Hinsdale Central's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Wheaton North, their victory bumped their record up to 15-12.

Hinsdale Central was able to grind out a solid win over Wheaton North when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Do the Red Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
