Basketball Recap: Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers vs. Wall Eagles
Lead-Deadwood lost against Wall back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers were outmatched by the Wall Eagles and fell 91-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Golddiggers have suffered since February 27, 2024.
Leading Wall to victory were Emmet Dinger and Teelan Kjerstad. Dinger shot 6-for-11 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 34 points and ten boards, while Kjerstad went 10 for 20 en route to 24 points in addition to eight assists and six steals. Kjerstad's evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Younger Amiotte was another key player, putting up six points along with ten rebounds and four steals.
Lead-Deadwood now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Wall, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
Lead-Deadwood has already played their next matchup (against St. Thomas More), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wall will welcome New Underwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
