Softball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline lost against James Wood back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hawks fell 6-3 to the Colonels.

Skyline saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alice Benson, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for James Wood, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Skyline will challenge rival Brentsville District at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, James Wood is set to face off against their familiar foe Fauquier at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Colonels 2.5, the Falcons 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
