Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Greene). They breezed by the Burgettstown Blue Devils to the tune of 68-38 on Wednesday. With the Pioneers ahead 37-17 at the half, the match was all but over already.

West Greene's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lane Allison, who went 8 for 19 on his way to 19 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Those five assists gave Allison a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Wassil, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 20 boards.

Allison wasn't the only one working in the assists department: West Greene was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

West Greene pushed their record up to 6-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Burgettstown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Greene will square off against Fort Cherry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
