Soccer Recap: Commerce Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Commerce took on Rabun County on Friday. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. Commerce were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rabun County apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.

This is the second loss in a row for Commerce and nudges their season record down to 5-5. As for Rabun County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Commerce will challenge Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rabun County, they will venture away from home to take on Chestatee at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rabun County will be up against Chestatee's rather soft defense (which has allowed five goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
