Preview: Field Falcons vs. Woodridge Bulldogs

Field and Woodridge are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Field Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Woodridge Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Field will be strutting in after a victory while Woodridge will be coming in after a defeat.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 31 to 6 on the offensive boards, a fact Field proved last Saturday. They snuck past Cloverleaf with a 49-44 win.
Field's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Ally Harlin, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 19 rebounds, and Delilah Rahe, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Rahe hasn't dropped below 16 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Bey, who scored four points.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 62 points the game before, Woodridge were a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They were dealt a 45-17 loss at the hands of Tallmadge. While losing is never fun, Woodridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 377th, while Tallmadge is ranked 164th).
Field now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Woodridge, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.
Field came up short against Woodridge in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 52-41. Can Field avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
