Basketball Recap: Carlsbad Comes Up Short

Carlsbad lost against Roswell two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls fell 54-43 to the Roswell Coyotes.

Carlsbad has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 16-9 record this season. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 20-3 Hobbs (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 70.1% over those games). As for Roswell, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, Carlsbad will take on Hobbs at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st. As for Roswell, they will face off against Clovis at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st.
