Basketball Recap: Dusable's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

DuSable waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the EPIC Academy The Legends with a sharp 63-42 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season.

Several The Legends players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Abel Kirkwood, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Anthony Moore, who earned ten points.

DuSable's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for EPIC Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the DuSable Panthers take on the Julian Jaguars at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. As for EPIC Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Shore International at 1:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
