Marion County has gone a perfect 10-0 against Campbellsville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Knights will host the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Marion County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Marion County fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Taylor County on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 2-1. The Knights have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Gracyn Mattingly spent all 7.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits.

At the plate, Marion County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Cox, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Another was Abbi Million, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Campbellsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against North Hardin, falling 14-3.

Campbellsville's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Marion County, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Marion County hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .329. However, it's not like Campbellsville struggles in that department as they've averaged .335. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
