Football Game Preview: PikeView Panthers vs. Bridgeport Indians + Official Tickets

The PikeView Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Bridgeport Indians at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. PikeView will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.

PikeView is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Buffalo by a score of 56-48 on Friday.

Peyton Mounts had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 286 yards and three scores while picking up 13.6 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 115.3 rushing yards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Braydon Mullins, who rushed for 80 yards and three TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: PikeView was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 452 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 195 rushing yards in seven consecutive matchups.

PikeView's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Logan Cook was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.

Meanwhile, Bridgeport faced Fairmont Senior in a battle between two of the state's top teams two weeks ago. The Indians breezed past the Polar Bears to the tune of 62-28. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by 34 points or more this season.

PikeView pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.0 points over those games. As for Bridgeport, their record is now 10-0.
