Volleyball Recap: Callaway Comes Up Short

Callaway lost against Pike County back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cavaliers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Callaway was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23.

Despite the defeat, Callaway saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aidyn Alford-Bailey had 12 digs and two assists.

Callaway now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Pike County, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-10.

Callaway has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Rutland on the 4th. Pike County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
