Basketball Recap: Wilmington Christian Academy Skates Past Norfolk Christian with Ease

Norfolk Christian kept up with Wilmington Christian Academy until halftime on Friday, but afterwards: not so much. The Patriots took their matchup with ease, bagging a 78-48 win over the Ambassadors. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Trent Davies was a one-man wrecking crew as he shot 50% from the field to rack up 26 points along with six assists and five boards. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan McConekey, who went 6-for-12 en route to 12 points and seven rebounds.

Despite the loss, Norfolk Christian still got an impressive performance from Ajian Skeete, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 16 points. Another player making a difference was John Wesley Davis, who posted nine points and six boards.

Wilmington Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Wilmington Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-64 loss against Atlantic Shores Christian on the 15th. As for Norfolk Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Oaktree Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 3.
