Football Game Preview: Alexander vs. Dunseith Dragons

Alexander will square off against the Dunseith Dragons on Friday. Alexander is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Alexander is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of North Dakota's top teams: Divide County, who was ranked 13th at the time (Alexander was ranked fourth). Alexander put the hurt on Divide County with a sharp 40-20 win on Friday. Considering Alexander has won six matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Dunseith, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 40-32 victory over Surrey on Friday. The Dragons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Dunseith's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Alexander, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.

Everything came up roses for Alexander against Dunseith in their previous meeting back in September of 2023, as the team secured a 41-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Alexander since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
