Volleyball Recap: Horicon Comes Up Short

Horicon lost against Winnebago Lutheran Academy back in October of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Marshmen fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 3-2.

Horicon took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 23-25, 20-25, 25-14, 15-12.

Sarah Hodgson paced Horicon's offense, picking up ten kills. Hodgson got some help from Eliana Rivera and her 16 assists.

Horicon's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-17. As for Winnebago Lutheran Academy, their win bumped their record up to 14-19.

Horicon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Winnebago Lutheran Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge Living Word Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Timberwolves will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
