Basketball Recap: Sale Creek Comes Up Short

After flying high against Copper Basin last Friday, Sale Creek came back down to earth. The Sale Creek Panthers were outmatched by the Chattanooga Prep Sentinels and fell 84-48. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-24.

Leading Chattanooga Prep to victory were Joel Bulis and Cadence Collins. Bulis dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 boards, while Collins went 8 for 12 en route to 21 points. Those 19 points gave Bulis a new career-high. Demarion Bowman was another key player, putting up nine points and five assists.

The loss snapped Sale Creek's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-12 record. As for Chattanooga Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Sale Creek won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Varsity Opponent at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chattanooga Prep, they and Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
