Volleyball Recap: Danville Takes a Loss

Danville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Northmor Golden Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-17, 19-25, 25-22.

Zoey Neitzelt paced Danville's offense, picking up ten kills. Neitzelt got some help from Kenzi Staats and her 16 assists. Taylor Miller controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Danville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Northmor, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Danville will face off against Newcomerstown at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Northmor, they will take on Columbus Academy at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday.
