Baseball Recap: Wheatmore Comes Up Short

After flying high against Thomasville on Friday, Wheatmore came back down to earth. The Warriors fell just short of the East Davidson Golden Eagles by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Golden Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Wheatmore's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for East Davidson, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Wheatmore will venture away from home to take on Southern Guilford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Davidson, they will welcome Ledford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
