Football Recap: Woodson Takes a Loss

Woodson extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-5. They took a blow against the Lake Braddock Bruins, falling 56-7. If the Cavaliers were looking for revenge after losing 55-14 to the Bruins when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Woodson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of William Niedrick and Ari Hirsch.

As for Lake Braddock, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Lake Braddock's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyrone Jackson led the charge by throwing for 221 yards and three TDs on only 14 passes. What's more, Jackson racked up 111.6 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. 85 of Jackson's passing yards were hauled in by Zachary Hibner, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
