Union Pines is 0-10 against Pinecrest since November of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Union Pines Vikings will look to defend their home court against the Pinecrest Patriots at 7:30 p.m.

Union Pines came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were outmatched by Southern Lee and fell 74-33. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Pinecrest beat Hoke County 59-48 on Tuesday. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Bucks are ranked 376th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pinecrest's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Union Pines, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.
