Baseball Game Preview: Bridgehampton Killer Bees vs. Pierson Whalers

For the second straight game, Bridgehampton will face off against Pierson. The Killer Bees will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Whalers at 4:30 p.m. Bridgehampton has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with five straight defeats, while Pierson will come in with 14 straight victories.

On Tuesday, Bridgehampton didn't have quite enough to beat Pierson and fell 2-1.

For Pierson's part, Lincoln Fischer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. Fischer has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

Pierson's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Bridgehampton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
